France/USA U20

We're still several weeks away from seeing Chelsea in action again and the Confederations Cup is off before the Semis start, but that doesn't mean we don't have some football to watch today. The U20 World Cup has some action about to get underway, and there are a handful of players that have been linked to Chelsea that will be featuring for their countries today.

Lucas Digne and Geoffrey Kondogbia have both seen regular links to the Blues, and both will be starting for the French when they face the United States in about 30 minutes. Additional target Kurt Zouma will start the contest on the bench, but could well factor into this one as most would expect the French squad to end up in a position to be killing this game off later on.

The other early game features Cuba taking on Nigeria, with Spain/Ghana and Portugal/South Korea both set to start later on. Enjoy the games, and here's hoping the young Blues targets impress.

Monsters University

Monsters University," the prequel to Pixar's 2001 animated blockbuster "Monsters, Inc.," scared up $82 million in weekend ticket sales to easily outdistance the week's other new movie, the big-budget apocalyptic thriller "World War Z," which came in with an impressive haul of $66 million.

"World War Z,", the story of a zombie pandemic starring Brad Pitt, was Pitt's biggest opening weekend ever, easily outpacing the $50.3 million for "Mr. And Mrs. Smith."

Last week's top movie, the Superman reboot "Man of Steel", was third with ticket sales of $41.2 million.

"Monsters University," featuring the voices of Billy Crystal and John Goodman as monsters who flunk out of the college's scare program, continued the tradition of hugely successful films produced by Pixar, a unit of the Walt Disney Co.

It was Pixar's 14th consecutive film to head the box office for the weekend it premiered in theaters, according to Paul Dergarabedian, president of Hollywood.com's box office division, easily outpacing industry projections of a $70 million weekend.

"It definitely exceeded our expectations," said Dave Hollis, executive vice president of distribution for Walt Disney Studios. "The first film was so beloved and set such a high bar so we're ecstatic."

Hollis said "Monsters University" was boosted by word of mouth.

"It's turned into a bit of a date night option," he said. "And there haven't been a lot of family options in the marketplace."

Distributed by Paramount Pictures, "World War Z" was delayed from its initially planned December release after the studio decided to reshoot the final third, pushing its budget from $170 million to more than $200 million, according to published reports.

Paramount said the film, which Pitt produced, cost $190 million to produce. Pitt stars as a former U.N. crisis specialist called upon to help defeat zombies who threaten to take over the planet.

The film had been forecast to rack up ticket sales of about $50 million, according to Hollywood.com's box office division, while the studio said it was looking to the high 40s, given the competition from "Monsters" and "Man of Steel."

"I don't think there's a person on the planet who thought this would open at $66 million," said Don Harris, Paramount's president of distribution. "These are pretty heady numbers."

"We're in really good shape" heading into the lucrative peak summer season weeks including the July 4 holiday, Harris said.

"And we certainly broadened the audience," he added, noting the film's 51 percent female-49 percent male audience breakdown, unusual for a big budget summer action film.

"Man of Steel," which stars British actor Henry Cavill as the muscled superhero, has generated domestic ticket sales of $210 million, already more than 2006's "Superman Returns," which starred Brandon Routh and took in just over $200 million.

Directed by Zack Snyder, the current version was distributed by Warner Bros.

"This Is the End," the apocalyptic comedy written by star Seth Rogen and his childhood friend Evan Goldberg, collected $13 million to take fourth place in the United States and Canada.

"Now You See Me," starring Woody Harrelson and Jesse Eisenberg as magicians who evade the police after high-profile robberies, was fifth with ticket sales of $7.9 million, pushing its total domestic take to just under $95 million.

"Despicable Me 2," which opens July 3 in North America, had a strong debut in Australia where Universal opted to open the film early to coincide with winter school holidays. The film took in $4.3 million, added to $2.1 million from paid previews last week.

"Monsters University" was distributed by the Walt Disney Co. Warner Brothers, a unit of Time Warner, distributed "Man of Steel." Viacom's Paramount Pictures unit distributed "World War Z." Sony's film studio distributed "This is the End." "Now You See Me" was distributed by Lions Gate Entertainment.

World War Z

WELCOME TO THE AGE of the cinematic mash-up, in which a committee of screenwriters jam together elements of past movies into a Frankenstein-like digital effects-laden extravaganza. For Mark Forster’s middling zombie flick, see if you can name-check the influences. Right off the bat there’s a credit sequence that plays like a slower, more somber version of Zack Snyder’s Johnny Cash-driven intro to the 2004 Dawn of the Dead remake. Then quick as a flash we’re in Contagion territory as a zombie infection sweeps across the globe and UN Emergency agent Brad Pitt is recruited to help find the root cause of the plague. But this isn’t grandpa George Romero’s shuffling take on the undead but rather 28 Days Later’s fast-moving horror show, where a single bite can turn you into a flesh-craving monster in 12 seconds flat. And so the remix goes on.
It’s not that Max Brooks’ source novel World War Z didn’t have an ambitiously serviceable (and fairly original) take on the zombie apocalypse, it’s that it wasn’t built for a single box office star. … And might take some real narrative chops to pull off. Why bother with a narrative tapestry that offers a Studs Terkel approach to a global undead infection — with multiple characters, situations and locales — when you can simply send your A-lister globetrotting a la James Bond from one CGI fest to the next. Ironically, the movie’s $200 million approach spins the entire low-budget reason zombie flicks exist on its head. But once the coffers run dry, Forster and his writers relocate the rewritten third act to a tensely mounted game of cat and mouse in a research facility that could have been part of The Walking Dead’s first season finale.
Truth be told, World War Z’s first 30 minutes are impressively frantic as we watch the zombie epidemic spread like wildfire through Philadelphia — which becomes a microcosm of what is happening on a global level. Forster stages the chaos and carnage with mounting urgency and terror, putting the audience in the center of a horrifying catastrophe. Swarms of teeth-gnashing zombies overrun urban landscapes and descend like hungry ants upon their fleeing victims. The best of these sequences is set in Jerusalem, where the undead pile atop one another in order to scale a defensive wall. Once over, they surge into the crowds like a rabid wave of death and destruction.
After its pedal-to-the-metal opening, however, WWZ settles into a narrative rut. Pitt criss-crosses the planet in search of the outbreak’s origins and a possible cure as his underdeveloped family waits aboard an aircraft carrier in grimaced worry. South Korea, India, Israel and Cardiff set the stage for some tense action vignettes but have little dramatic connection to one another. Each location just becomes an opportunity to indulge in another archetypical zombie scenario before jetting off to the next. It’s like a masterfully recorded Best-Of album that only plays the radio edits. A mid-air attack aboard an airliner could have been an instance of show-stopping terror, but is forced through its paces at such a breakneck pace that the full force of its horror never truly hits home. Forster’s filmmaking is built on velocity above all else, gutting his film of any dramatic resonance.
And as capable a lead as Brad Pitt is, his character is a little more than a good-hearted tough guy. We know he’s brave and loves his family but little else. The story never tests his emotions or loyalties. Instead he’s just another blank action hero on a mission to save humanity. The same can be said about the rainbow coalition of supporting actors who assist him on his quest.
What’s ultimately missing from WWZ is the sense of dread, doubt and loss that accompany the world-ending catastrophe at hand. Paced only for immediate reactions, Forster’s film never lets the helplessness and fear sink in. The stakes for humanity are obviously high, but within the film they feel inappropriately subdued and generic.
As Forster rounds the bend into his final act, the movie downshifts into a suspenseful quest to retrieve vials of pathogens from a zombie-infested laboratory. The focus is welcome. Executed like a heist, Pitt is part of a trio who must sneak past the inattentive undead. The sequence doesn’t particularly stand out for its execution, but at least it’s a change from the hysterical bombast of the movie’s first two-thirds. Once Pitt’s goals are achieved, however, the movie doesn’t so much conclude as lose power. A quickly sketched montage backed by an uninspired voice-over narration gives way to an incredibly awkward “that’s it?” freeze frame. It’s here that WWZ’s reported story problems and reshoots are most evident. If this ending is the best writer Damon Lindelof and company could come up with, it’s hard to believe the movie will spawn any sequels. Then again, we are talking zombies here.

Mexico vs. Japan

This was supposed to be Mexico’s summer, but their offense has been struggling and their entire team has been unimpressive. After a devastating loss to Italy and domination from Brazil, Mexico will need to get a win over Japan, who has looked much more impressive than El Tri through the first two games.

If Mexico’s offense continues to struggle, then there will be a major shake up for El Tri and a lot of questions to be answered leading up to the important World Cup qualifiers. Japan has already earned a spot in next year’s tournament, but Mexico has a long way to go and they can use this performance to build up some momentum heading in to the stretch.

Australia vs British and Irish Lions

Australia and the British and Irish Lions will lock horns for the first of their power-packed Tests at the Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane.

The much awaited matchup will finally come to fruition on Saturday, with both sides desperate for victory to gain an upperhand in the series.

Ireland legend Brian O'Driscoll is desperate to end up on the winning side of a Lions tour, as the 34-year-old prepares to bid goodbye to the rugby world next year.

"I'm not going to be involved in any more World Cups ... for me the only other thing I haven't been able to achieve is winning a Lions series," O'Driscoll, who made his Lions debut in 2001, told the Guardian. "I dearly want to be part of that, for my own sake and the Lions' sake going forward. I think we need to win one of these series soon.

"I don't want to be someone who's had a lot of appearances in Lions teams but, ultimately, not won a series. That is what it comes down to. You talk about the fun and the gelling but if we got on terribly and won the series I'd take that above getting on great and losing. That is not what this is about."

O'Driscoll is expecting a tough and physical battle against Australia. "I think it'll be more than a battle of wills," he added. "It will be a battle of the breakdown.

"It's a pretty simple game -- you win the tackle contest, whether you're carrying or you're defending, and you've a good chance of winning.

"We have to go out and make sure we're able to dominate the contact area but I don't know if the 'will' thing is going to be enough, we also have to play with smarts to get us across the line.

"I've enjoyed being able to be a senior player and add my tuppence worth. In all teams there is one captain but it's important to have leaders scattered throughout them as well."

With a win by Spain, they advance past the group stages of the tournament where they will meet either Brazil or Italy.

For Tahiti, they have to be looking simply for a moral victory in this game. If they can come away with a goal, that would be all this team could ask for.

Italy vs. Japan

Italy will be able to secure their place in the knockout stage of the Confederations Cup with a win over Japan on Wednesday.

So far, the tournament has been very good, even arguably better than the 2012 Euro or 2010 World Cup. You don't have the event watered down by a bunch of average teams overmatched by the elite.

Group A looks to be the better of the two, and you'll be seeing why on Wednesday. The first match featuring Brazil and Mexico will likely overshadow Italy vs. Japan. That doesn't mean it won't be a cracking match between two talented sides.

Here is a quick preview for this Group A fixture.

WWE Payback 2013

With everything seemingly in place, the stage appears to be set for Sunday's WWE Payback pay-per-view. The event, which will take place at Allstate Arena outside Chicago, has never taken place before, so consider this to be a test run.

The card is strong and the return of CM Punk is sure to make for a lively crowd, so Payback figures to be a very entertaining show. While most fans will likely choose to watch Payback on TV, that isn't an option for everyone. Luckily, there is an unprecedented number of ways to watch WWE pay-per-views now, so no fan has to miss a second of the action.

Here is everything you need to know about when and where to watch Payback on Sunday night as well as the special pre-show 30 minutes beforehand.

Spain-Uruguay

Barcelona's Victor Valdes is set to start as Spain's goalkeeper in their Confederations Cup clash against Uruguay at the Arena Pernambuco.

Captain Iker Casillas featured in friendly wins over Haiti and the Republic of Ireland last week, but is unlikely to get the nod on Sunday, as he has not played for his club side Real Madrid since January.

Coach Vicente del Bosque will have to choose between David Villa and Fernando Torres in attack, with Cesc Fabregas offering another alternative as a 'false nine' striker.

Uruguay forward Luis Suarez is available after missing Tuesday's World Cup qualifier win over Venezuela through suspension.

Boss Oscar Tabarez could name an attack-minded side with Suarez, Diego Forlan and Edinson Cavani all starting together.

UFC 161 Rashad Evans vs. Dan Henderson

Light heavyweight greats RashadEvans and Dan Henderson will attempt to return to title contention on Saturday, when they will meet at UFC 161 in Winnipeg, Canada.

After coming up short in a title shot against former teammate and current champion Jon Jones, Evans suffered a big setback in an upset loss to Antonio Rogerio Nogueira. Coming off of what could be considered the worst performance of his career, Evans may have had a wake-up call. Then again, he could also continue his downward trend against Henderson.

Scheduled to fight Jones at UFC 151, Henderson suffered a knee injury that cost him the title shot. Upon his return, Henderson met Lyoto Machida and failed to earn back his chance at UFC gold by dropping a decision.

In addition to the 205-pound main event, UFC 161 will feature a number of competitive bouts that will hopefully make up for the loss of the fight card's original main event between interim bantamweight champion Renan Barao and EddieWineland.

Here is how MMA fans can tune in to watch every portion of the UFC 161 fight card.

Boston Bruins vs Chicago Blackhawks

Boston Bruins vs Chicago Blackhawks takes place in the Stanley Cup 2013 Final Game 1 on Wednesday night, with both sides desperate to get their noses in front early on in the series. The game will start at 8 p.m. ET and can be watched online through free live stream (details below).
Many hockey fans are excited about this year's final; it is an Original Six matchup for the first time in 34 years, and also is a match up between two extremely exciting teams – meaning the series should be a fantastic one even for the neutrals.
Boston have fought tooth and nail to get here tonight; their fans will remember how they were three goals down in the third period of Game 7 in the first round. Likewise Chicago fought back from three games to one down in the second round to sneak through.
Since those wobbles both teams have improved immensely and they are both playing some of the best hockey their fans have seen all season.
The Bruins have now won nine of their past 10 games, and the Blackhawks have won seven of their last eight. But something will have to give way tonight and it will be exciting to see which team comes out on top.
The Blackhawks perhaps have a bit more pressure on them to win tonight, to take advantage of their home advantage. If the Bruins can win tonight in Chicago then it would immediately put massive pressure on the Blackhawks for Game 2, as well as through Games 3.

Austria vs. Sweden,

Austria and Sweden will battle it out in Vienna for a surprisingly important clash as both teams look to compete for second place in Group C.

Germany top the group by a distance, albeit having played six games, while Austria, Sweden and the Republic of Ireland all trail behind on eight points. The situation is further clouded by the fact that Sweden have an additional game in hand, having only played in four matches.

Nonetheless, that leaves second place wide open for all three teams, and while Ireland will be hoping for a draw, Austria will know that a win could be a huge result which will serve them very well in a remarkable qualification for the 2014 World Cup.

Austria coach Marcel Koller stated: "Sweden are ranked much higher in the world than us and are regarded as favourites for second place in the group. But when chances are offered to us, we want to use them and we want to defeat the Swedes - I can feel the positive energy of my team."

Sweden wiil swiftly follow up the encounter with another game on Tuesday which will bring them level on games played with Austria and Ireland - and almost certainly three points better off, since it is against minnows the Faroe Islands. That means they're not in serious trouble yet - but lose here and they may well be.

Croatia v Scotland

We're always at our best when we're completely written off, aren't we? Well this might be the most written offest we've ever been.

Croatia are ranked fourth in the world, boast a Champions League winning forward and a depth of talent from across some of the biggest clubs in Europe. Still, there's hope.

Gordon Strachan might have been deprived of some of his first choice players. We might well be going to face one of the best sides in the world. Some of our players might not have started school when Suker, Boban and company ruled the roost. But...

Andy Coyle, Grant Russell and Thom Watt soak up the rays, and try to figure out what Scotland do to stop the Croats.

Liechtenstein vs. Slovakia

Slovakia will look to earn an important three points when it takes on Liechtenstein in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on Friday.
Slovakia currently sits in third place with eight points in five games this campaign. The Repre (Slovakia's nickname) started its tournament with a 1-1 draw against Lithuania on September 7, 2012. Four days later, Slovakia managed a 2-0 win over Liechtenstein in Bratislava. A month later, the team utilized two goals in the first 10 minutes to coast to a 2-1 win over Latvia. However, the Slovakians lost 1-0 against Greece and drew 1-1 with Lithuania in their most recent games. These three points are vital for Slovakia as they will play two of their final four games against Group leader Bosnia and Herzegovina; Slovakia will also play one match against Greece in its final four. Marek Sapara and Martin Jakubko have combined for five of the team's six goals in the tournament.
Liechtenstein only has one point in five matches. The squad opened the tournament with an 8-1 loss against Bosnia and Herzegovina and dropped its second match 2-0 against Slovakia. After another two losses against Lithuania and Latvia, the team finally earned its first and only qualifying point in a 1-1 draw with Latvia.
Prediction: Liechtenstein has been the group's perennial punching bag. Slovakia is a team desperate for points with time winding down. Look for the latter squad to dominate this match in a 3-0 victory.

Moldova vs. Poland

UEFA World Cup 2014 Qualifiers on Friday.
The Polish currently sit in third place with eight points in five matches. England is in second place with 12 points in six matches played; the Three Lions are idle on Friday. The first place team in the group automatically books passage to the World Cup Finals in Brazil next summer. The second place squad takes on another runner-up in a two-legged playoff; the winner moves on the Finals.

Poland started its tournament with a 2-2 draw against group leader Montenegro. In its second game, Poland took down Moldova 2-0 before drawing 1-1 with England. The team lost its first game on March 22 in a 3-1 defeat against Ukraine. Fortunately, the Poles bounced back with 5-0 win over San Marino. Borussia Dortmund striker Robert Lewandowski was shutout for the first four games but managed to score a brace against San Marino. The team hopes that he will start scoring on a more consistent basis for the squad.
Moldova only has four points in six games and could see its chances of qualifying directing end if Montenegro defeats Ukraine. A loss would also put Moldova up against the wall in its final three contests. The team opened the tournament with a 5-0 loss against England and a 2-0 defeat against Poland in September 2012. October proved to be a better month as Moldova drew 0-0 with Ukraine and defeated San Marino 2-0. However, the squad has lost its last two games against Ukraine and Montenegro.

Portugal vs Russia

The prospect of a World Cup without Cristiano Ronaldo could move closer on Friday as Portugal face Russia in a key qualifier.
Fabio Capello's Russia have four wins from four, and are a point clear of both Israel and Portugal with two games in hand.
Text coverage of all World Cup qualifying matches - from 5pm on Friday (UK time)
Portugal boss Paulo Bento said the margin for error has reduced after losing to Russia and drawing with Northern Ireland earlier in the campaign.
"It's evidently an important match, we can't hide it," he said. "We are all aware that we are a bit more pressed than before given a smaller margin of error after dropping a few points along the way.
"We must be ready to cope with this situation. It's our reality right now so we need to face that situation as natural and with some conviction that we can conquer what we want, which is the three points."
Russia have scored eight goals in those four games - including a 1-0 home win over the Portuguese - and are yet to concede a goal.
"On the other side there will be a team which defends well," said Bento. "Proof of that is they have not conceded any goals.
"They counter-attack well, get the ball away from the pressure zone with a lot of ease. Their players are fast and, since we have to take the initiative, we have to be attentive about when we lose the ball and in which part of the pitch and be aggressive (on the ball)."

The Czech Republic and Italy will both be gunning for three huge points on Friday in Prague as the second half of European qualifying in Group B continues with a colossal matchup.

2012 European Championship runners-up Italy currently lead Group B with 13 points through five matches. But the Italians still have two matches left to play against the Czech Republic, which currently sits third in the group behind Bulgaria with eight points through five matches.

Each side has five matches left to play in Group B, but will want to pick up some critical points before heading into the fall.

Here we'll get you set with everything you need to know for Friday's pivotal 2014 World Cup Qualifier.

Latvia vs. Bosnia

Bosnia and Herzegovina will look for a chance to increase its lead atop Group G in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers when it takes on lowly Latvia on Friday.
Bosnia and Herzegovina, nicknamed the Dragons, have 13 points in five qualifying matches. The team only has a three point lead on second place Greece, but has yet to lose a single game thus far. Bosnia and Herzegovina started the tournament with a resounding 8-1 win over Liechtenstein on September 7. Just four days later, the Dragons took down Latvia 4-1 on home field. A month later, the team lost its only points of the campaign in a 0-0 draw against second place Greece. On October 16, Bosnia and Herzegovina bounced back with a 3-0 victory against Lithuania and in its most recent match, the squad asserted its group dominance with a 3-1 win over Greece; the Greeks failed to score until the 93rd minute of play. Chelsea's Edin Dzeko leads the group in scoring with seven tallies; Vedad Ibisevic has five goals and Zvjezdan Misimovic has four tallies. Slovakia's Marek Sapara is the only other player in the entire group with at least three goals.

Latvia currently sits in fifth place in the group with five games to play. If it manages to win the rest of its matches, the Latvian squad can acquire 19 points. However, a defeat against Bosnia and Herzegovina would essentially eliminate the team from directly qualifying for the World Cup next summer.
Prediction: Bosnia and Herzegovina are the favorites in this game and should have little trouble dispatching Latvia. Look for Bosnia and Herzegovina to win 2-0.

Armenia vs. Malta

Malta will look to pick up its first points of the group stage when it takes on Armenia in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers on Friday
The Maltese lost all five of their matches and only scored once; Roderick Briffa is the lone scorer.  Despite the poor effort thus far, Malta can still qualify if it manages to win its final five matches. The top team in the group earns an automatic berth to the World Cup Finals in Brazil next summer while the runner-up must engage in one more playoff to earn passage. Malta started its tournament with a 1-0 loss against Armenia. The team then lost 2-0 against Italy; one of the goals came in the 92nd minute of play. Malta finally scored its first goal of the campaign in a 3-1 loss to the Czech Republic before imploding against Bulgaria in a 6-0 blowout loss. In their most recent match, the Maltese lost 2-0 against Italy.

Armenia currently sits in fifth place but has a huge advantage over Malta; the club has only competed in four qualifying matches this campaign. The team earned its only points in its first game against Malta. After that 1-0 victory Armenia lost 1-0 against Bulgaria and 3-1 against the Czech Republic. In their more recent game, the Armenians lost 3-0 against the Czechs. The squad has only scored twice in the entire tournament; Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Artur Sarkisov were the lone goal scorers.
Prediction: Malta has one goal in the entire tournament and has yet to show any indications of making a deep run. Look for Armenia to put on a show for its fans in a 3-0 win

Azerbaijan vs. Luxembourg

Group F is one of the most exciting groups in the 2014 World Cup qualifiers as three teams are in a dead heat for the top two spots. However, the bottom of the group looks less promising with three teams essentially out of the running. Two of those sides are Azerbaijan and Luxembourg; the two squads will face off on Friday in group play.

Azerbaijan sits in a tie with Northern Ireland for fourth place in the group. The team only has three points in six points and has yet to win a single match in the tournament. Azerbaijan opened its tournament with a 1-1 draw against Israel. In the second game on September 11, 2012, Azerbaijan lost 3-0 against Portugal. Fortunately, the team did not allow a single goal against Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. After a 1-0 loss against Russia, the squad bounced back with a 1-1 draw against Northern Ireland and a 0-0 tie against Luxembourg. Ruslan Abisov and Rauf Aliyev are the only two players to score for the team.
Luxembourg sits at the bottom of Group F with two points. The squad opened its tournament with a 2-1 loss against Portugal. After a 1-1 draw with Northern Ireland, Luxembourg imploded in two straight losses against Israel; the Israelis outscored the team 9-0 through two games. Fortunately, Luxembourg managed a 0-0 draw with Azerbaijan in its most recent match to salvage one point. Daniel da Mota has scored two goals for the team.

Miami Heat vs. San Antonio Spurs

We’ve waited for over two months for this time to come and the NBA Finals are finally upon us. The Miami Heat suffered a scare against the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Finals but they appear to possibly be coming into the Finals red hot off their Game 7 win. As for the San Antonio Spurs, this may be the final chance they have to win a title with their legendary core of Tim Duncan, Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.

This is Miami’s third straight chance to win a title with their own legendary core of players but this one will perhaps be the hardest to achieve as the Spurs present a challenge they haven’t faced before. The Mavericks caught them still trying to adjust to the talent on the roster and Oklahoma City was still on the rise when they were beaten.

San Antonio’s been here before and they’ve been here against LeBron before. But it’s not 2007 anymore and LeBron has a taste for championship blood.

So what time do the Heat and Spurs tip off? We’ve got all of the information you will need to know to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the NBA Finals action.

Chicago Blackhawks vs. Los Angeles Kings

The Los Angeles Kings suffered a pretty big scare to start this series against the Chicago Blackhawks but they made an attempt to calm the masses in Game 3. Jonathan Quick seems to have his mojo back and shut the Hawks offense down to get a game back in this series.

But the work is still cut out for the Kings who  need to get another win at home in Game 4 to send this series back to Chicago all tied up. The Kings have been weird with their home and road record this postseason as they’ve been amazing at home. If the Kings win Game 4 they’ll have the momentum back but with the way they’ve been playing on the road this postseason they very well could check that momentum at LAX.

Chicago is going to be without Duncan Keith who has been suspended by the NHL for his high stick slash on Jeff Carter and his absence may make the Kings night a little easier, but it’s still too early to tell.

So what time do the Blackhawks and Red Wings drop the puck? We’ve got all of the information you will need to know to make sure you don’t miss out on any of the action.

England vs Brazil

Despite a late hiccup, Brazil and England will meet on Sunday to officially open the renovated Maracana Stadium in Rio de Janeiro. On Thursday the fixture had been suspended by a court for safety concerns, but with those fears seemingly allayed, two historic powerhouses of the world game will take to the field in a contest that will provide an indication of where they both stand a year before the World Cup.

As hosts there is tremendous pressure on Brazil and, with no competitive action in the run-up to next year’s tournament, every match against a leading nation is crucial for the Selecao’s preparation. There is plenty of concern too at how they are progressing. Luiz Felipe Scolari has as yet failed to show signs of producing the turnaround he manufactured when taking over before lifting the 2002 World Cup.
A defeat to England at Wembley in February was followed up by unconvincing draws against Italy and Russia with Scolari still trying to find his best lineup. Ahead of the Confederations Cup later this month, Scolari has left out veterans Kaka and Ronaldinho as he looks to the new generation of Neymar, Oscar and Lucas Moura to provide the creative spark.

Usa vs Germany
