England vs. Ireland:

It's hard to believe that tonight's clash at Wembley is the first match between England and Ireland in 18 years. The last, in Dublin in 1995, was abandoned due to riots - expect tonight's encounter to celebrate the FA's 150th anniversary to be considerably more friendly. England are missing a host of players through injury (including Steven Gerrard, Jack Wilshere and Andy Carroll) so Ashley Cole has been named as captain despite vocally criticising the FA in the past. Roy Hodgson will likely turn to Liverpool's rejuvenated Daniel Sturridge alongside Wayne Rooney up front. Ireland are not short of goalscoring options either, with Robbie Keane and West Brom's Shane Long both fit and Aiden McGeady in midfield. Both sides are looking for a win, but frankly getting to the final whistle will be an improvement.

England vs Ireland is on tonight at 7.45pm on ITV.
